Our products are designed and primarily manufactured by our industry-leading team in Sydney and are exported to over 119 countries globally.

We are now seeking a Production Manager to manage the Assembly and Test production operations to ensure that volume, cost, and quality standards are achieved. You will also be responsible for planning and establishing work schedules while implementing policies and procedures, ensures staffing requirements are met, and sequences production to maximize productivity.

We are looking for someone who has the capacity to deal with an ever changing environment and can contribute to the better running of our team.  It is also absolutely essential that you are a very strong communicator with all levels of the business.

Your responsibilities will include the following

  • Manage and evaluate resources to ensure productivity and minimal downtime
  • Oversee a workforce of 100+ employees in the manufacturing department.
  • Reduce expenses and increase productivity across all product lines.
  • Ensure all employees follow industry standard health and safety guidelines.
  • Set production goals and communicate them to key personnel based on a schedule provided by the Production Planner
  • Establish workflow policies that enhance speed and efficiency without compromising product safety or integrity
  • Create schedules for employees to ensure optimum staffing levels
  • Provide motivation, support, and guidance to all employees
  • Communicate any problems or obstacles to senior management
  • Analyse production and quality control to detect and correct problems
  • Implement and enforce quality control and tracking programs to meet quality objectives
  • Prepare and maintain production reports
  • Monitor and review the performance of staff and organize necessary interventions for improvement
  • Ensure efficient collaboration and co-ordination between relevant departments including procurement, distribution and management

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing with FMCG or High Tech preferred
  • 5+ years of experience with a demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing and best practices.
  • 5+ years of management experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills in MRP, JIT, Six Sigma, Lean Mfg., Kan Ban, and Vendor-Managed Inventory
  • Strong analytical, data-processing and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in process formulation and improvement
  • Knowledge and experience with product launch processes
  • Meet deadlines and work under pressure, with limited supervision
