A girl comes home to find her father dead. The vampire that killed him still stalks her as she struggles with her sadness. The film is ultimately about about how grief, loss, and innocence can make us feel powerless.
Behind the scenes of Vampire
The camera used was a Canon C100 with Zeiss Compact Prime lenses. The sound was recorded mostly off-set in post-production to save the equipment from water and also to get clean audio. This film was shot in a week. Two night shoots were in fake rain. We used a PVC pipe connected to a garden hose and sprinklers, which someone held up in order to seem like rain. There was one night shoot with real rain, and blended the days together. We shot it a a local Indian temple, which we posed as a church.
